Just like last year, this event is going to be more than your typical Fun Fly. We have tons of events planned for non-stop action, including demos, educational seminars, a scale event, night flying with cash prizes for both Pros & Amateurs, and much, much more. This is going to be a weekend you will not want to miss.
Even though it's great to see all the top pilots "layin' it down" but wouldn't it be even better to have an event that was more than just a party and smackdown?
Well the Heli-Invasion answers that question. With numerous organized educational events you can count on learning something at the 2011 Heli-Invasion.
Last year, Curtis Youngblood hosted several auto-rotation clinics and boy was it awesome to see the auto-rotation master at work.
During his sessions, Curtis discussed the finer points of auto's, as offered many hints and tricks. But even though the focus was education, Curtis had a few tricks up his sleeve with his signature inverted, backwards long sliding autos. Just ask anyone who saw this and was certainly one of the highlights of the event.
In the evening hours we feature two great sessions with the pros. The first is a Q&A Session where anyone could ask the pros anything. And following that, Bert Kammerer will lead his "Everything You Wanted to Know About Setup, But Were Afraid to Ask" Clinic.
But that's not all, with so many pro's in attendance you never know what other educational seminars will pop up.
The crowning event of Saturday evening is our "Do It in the Dark, Night Show". With the addition of Bobby Watts to the night show, you can bet the 2011 Night Show will be off the hook.
In addition to the Pro Class night show, we will also be hosting an amateur night fly competition as well. With a cash prize for the amateurs you can bet they'll be "doing it in the dark". So amateurs, get your night rigs ready!!
As one of the premiere events on the East Coast, the Heli-Invasion crew has been able secure many of today's hottest pilots. As the event gets closer we hope to add to this list, but as of now check out who's coming.

Flying for Team Avant, Marcus Kim has recently relocated back to the east coast to his native South Carolina. And even though Marcus is now a full-time police officer, he flies like he flies 40 hours a week.
But don't let Marcus' boyish good-looks fool ya, his flying style is quite contrary to his looks and personality. With an aggressive, inches off-the-ground, smack style, Marcus brings out the beast in his helis.
For 2010, we welcome Marcus back to the Heli-Invasion and know that he is a major addition to our already amazing pro roster. So be on the lookout for the always jovial, Marcus Kim.

Jared Granzow, from Ohio, is probably one of the most technically proficient 3D Pilots on the circuit. With such signature moves as "The Scrambler" and his "Sideways Boxed Eights", Jared is amazing to watch and is always pumps up the crowd.
Flying for Team JR/Horizon Hobby, Jared brings a multitude of dimensions to the hobby. There is no finer technician out there than Jared Granzow. He is equally comfortable throwing a smack down flight as he is talking about proper setup, engine tuning or anything else heli related.
The Heli-Invasion team is pleased to welcome Jared back for his second year in the demo-pilot lineup.

One of the most unique, super-aggro pilots on the circuit today "H to the C" Caldwell, brings a style all his own. Returning for 2010, Henry continues his presence at the Heli Invasion.
Flying for Team Outrage, Henry has been instrumental in testing and development of the entire Outrage Heli line. Hailing from South Carolina and his characteristic southern accent, HC is definitely hard to miss.
Look for Henry and many other members of Team Outrage at the 2010 Heli-Invasion.

After a win at the 2010 3D Masters, you can't go to a major Fun Fly without seeing or hearing about Nick Maxwell. Nick Maxwell brings a style all his own to the pro circuit, with a mix of big sky, accurate maneuvers, combined with a "how low can he go" smack, Nick always brings it big and uber-aggressive, a style that gets the crowd on it feet and wondering how he did that.
Continuing for 2010, Nick is flying the brand new NextD Rave 90 ENV. As an accomplished pilot, Nick has been instrumental to the testing and subsequent release of the CY Total G Flybarless system and Rave ENV.
Nick is a Heli Invasion alumni, so look for him on the flightline. And be sure to not miss the "Do It In the Dark" night fly show. No one flies bigger than Nick at night.

Bert Kammerer of Orlando, Florida will be back again for the 2010 Heli-Invasion. Bert brings his aggro-low, super-fast style every time he flies. And you can usually count on Bert for some blade scrapes or a blade-stop auto, which always brings the crowd to their feet.
This year Bert will continue his "Everything You Wanted to Know about Setup, But Were Afraid to Ask" clinic on Saturday night after the Q&A Session.
If you see Bert on the flight line, be sure to shake his hand or ask him a question, he is always there to offer help.

The young kid but who is as big as a linebacker, Kyle Stacy, is a welcome addition to the Invasion pro roster. Flying for Team Edge, Kyle brings a unique style. And with a fouth place finish at the 2010 XFC, you can bet Kyle is the future of this sport.
Kyle make his first appearance at the Heli-Invasion for 2010. No matter what the competition is, Kyle is always in contention. Whether that be an indoor contest at E-Fest or competing in the IRCHA One Competition. And he doesnt stop with his flying, with a smiling personality, Kyle is always there to help with a test flight or setup tip.
So be sure to find Kyle this year and say hello.

The man who's signature graces boxes of the most popular helicopters, the man who's picture appears in countless ads in the R/C mags, the man who is more than a myth, the always crowd pleasing Alan Szabo Jr, makes his inaugural appearance at the 2010 Heli-Invasion.
Alan represents the the new generation of heli pilots, at only 24 years old, Alan is already viewed as the senior veteran of the heli circuit. Flying helis for more than 12 years, Alan has played an instrumental role in the development of many of today's hottest helicopters.
As a designer and tester, Alan works for and represents Align helicopters. And with a style that is distinctively Alan's you can bet ASJ, as he's affectionaly known, will be a highlight of the 2010 Heli-Invasion.

Hot off a win at the 2010 Futaba XFC Night Fly Competition, Bobby Watts has set the standard for night time flying entertainment. With an extremely impressive display of coordinated, computer controlled lights and pyrotechnics, Bobby's night fly routine is actually show.
For the 2010 Heli Invasion, Bobby will be bringing his unique smack style to the fields of the Invasion. And you can bet Bobby will be there at night to impress pilots and spectators alike with the latest rendition of his night fly show.
The Heli Invasion crew is pleased to welcome Bobby to his first Invasion.

Hailing from the Great White North, that's Canada for you Americans, Colin Bell was born and raised in Nova Scotia. And for a part of the world where they get more snow than sun, its amazing how talented Colin is. Whether is airplanes or heli, Colin is definetely one of the top tier pilots.
Having placed as high as fourth place at the Futaba XFC, Colin's style can only be described as "bad-ass". Whether that's laying the low smack in the ditch at B'Ham or flying big precise airplane-type maneuvers Colin always keeps the crowd pumped.
Joining the Invasion for his first appearance be sure to look for him at the "Do It in the Dark" Night show. He is without a doubt, one of the best night pilots around!!
