Its time for all you 'freaks out there, to get ready for one of the biggest, baddest, bring yo' best flyin' to THE event of the season.

The Fredericksburg Area RC Club is pleased to announce the First Annual Heli Invasion sponsored by Hobby Hangar, Rotorworkz and Align.

So why not mark October 3rd - 5th on your calendar, pack your helis, campers, tents and whatever else you need to make a weekend and head to Fredericksburg, VA for the coolest fun-fly on the season.

Less than 2 Weeks!!

Whew!! The planning is now in full swing... We are actively confirming our last pro pilots, finalizing travel itineraries and getting the T-Shirts. So it's now down to the wire.

A special thanks goes out to HeliProz.com, they have just signed on as an event sponsor... so the prize pool sure is picking up. With the drawing on Saturday evening I can bet there will be some very happy pilots.

Over the next week we will be planning the full schedule of events, so keep checking back for up to the minute details. In the meantime be prepared for a GREAT weekend of activities. Saturday is shaping up to be a HUGE Day, with demos all day long, followed by some really crazy events, an awesome Pilot Dinner (addt'l charge), the RAFFLE and all of this culminates with a smackdown, no holds barred Night Fly competition complete with winner take all CASH prize.

In the meantime if you have any questions about the event, would like to attend as a vendor or help sponsor the event, please email us at info@heli-invasion.com.

HOT NEWS!!

As if this event wasn't exciting enough!! But Avant/Ely Q's very own Marcus Kim has confirmed to be at our event.

With pre-registration fast approaching 50 pilots, this event is beginning to shape up to be HUGE!!

So if you haven't pre-registered yet, be sure to do so TODAY, because you just never know, you may be one of the lucky pilots that wins an extra special prize, just for pre-registering. And besides, you get a cool free T-Shirt to boot.

However, I do have some disappointing news to report, due to conflicts with school and family, Colin Bell and Scott Gray will be unable to attend this year's event. However, they have assured me that they will be there next year.

September 2008

Well it's gettin' close... Can you feel the excitement? Have you read about the buzz on the websites. Anyone, who is anyone in the heli community is coming to this low-flying, smack laying, bringin' it event of the season.

And better yet, starting today pre-registration is now open... thanks to our friends at U-Neak Designs. So follow the registration link above.... or click here and be one of the pilots that gets yourself a FREE 2008 Heli Invasion T-Shirt.

August 2008

Just got back from IRCHA and spoke to as many pro pilots as we could. So if everything goes right, Danny Szabo, Marcus Kim and Bobby Watts should hopefully be there. Everyone we spoke to is really looking forward to the event and we anticipate over 150 pilots to be in attendance.

Keep watching this space as we will be opening up pilot registration in the coming week or so, and just like IRCHA we will be giving away prizes to the 1st, 50th, 100th, 150th and 200th pilot to pre-register.

April 2008

Boy are things getting crazy with the event!! Recently we confirmed that our event will be represented by two of the hottest pilots from Canada... Scott Gray and Colin Bell. And if you haven't seen these guys fly you are definetely missing something.

Also we have confirmed everything for the F3C competition, with pilots coming up from Florida and beyond for the event. So this is a great opportunity to see what smoothness and precision is all about.

February 2008

Here it is the beginning of 2008, the event is still 8+ months away and the we are full-swing into the planning, arranging and organizing of the event... big time.

With all of the paperwork filed with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), we already have our Sanction Number (08-0346). Be sure to look out for our ad in the upcoming issues of Model Aviation.

With event planning in full swing, we have begun lining up all the major pros to attend the event. Just the other day I got off the phone with Curtis Youngblood who confirmed that he would be at the event as both guest and demo pilot.

Curtis is just one of the many top pros who will be in attendance at the event. We expect to draw an international field of pro and demo pilots.
